Samsung Life Insurance appointed Mr Lee Seung-ho, Vice President and Head of the Financial Competitiveness Enhancement Task Force, as President, according to news platform The Chosun Daily.
Mr Lee’s appointment has established a dual president system alongside Mr Hong Won-hak, who took office in 2023, said the article.
Mr Lee joined Samsung Securities in 1995 and served as Head of the Management Support Office and Head of the Digital Division in 2021. He moved to Samsung Life Insurance in 2021, where he held roles including Head of Asset Management.
Mr Lee has led the Financial Competitiveness Enhancement Task Force since 2022.
He graduated with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Department of International Economics at Seoul National University.
