PROPEL with Singlife, the one-stop shared services hub for financial advisory (FA) firms, has announced the appointment of Yirong Wee as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Ms Yirong brings over 18 years of experience in financial services, operations, and distribution strategy, with a proven track record of driving innovation, operational excellence, and adviser enablement.

She most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Group Distribution at leading homegrown financial services company Singlife. As COO, she helped to reshape the group’s distribution structure, designing high-impact adviser engagement initiatives, and delivering measurable outcomes across Singlife’s owned and non-owned channels.

Ms Wee said, “From its conception, PROPEL’s mission has always been to empower financial advisers to take the next step in their entrepreneurial journey with confidence. By championing open architecture and providing seamless, scalable solutions, we are removing the barriers that often hold aspiring advisers back. My vision is for PROPEL to become the go-to hub for financial advisory firms, elevate the FA industry and create a thriving ecosystem for advisers to grow and succeed.”

Outgoing CEO of PROPEL Steven Ong will lead a new business initiative within Singlife from 2026.

Since its official launch in January 2025, PROPEL has achieved remarkable milestones, including surpassing 1,300 financial adviser representatives (FARs) onboarded within nine months. It has been recognised with multiple industry accolades. PROPEL remains committed to empowering the FA community with modular and scalable shared services solutions to help new and established FA firms succeed.
