Howden announces appointments in Hong Kong and Asia

| 18 May 2026

Howden has announced a leadership transition in its Hong Kong business, effective 1 July 2026.

Mr Alaric Lee has been appointed CEO, Hong Kong, succeeding Mr Alfred Sham. Mr Lee’s appointment is subject to regulatory approval. Currently, Mr Lee is Chief Commercial Officer, Asia, and brings extensive experience across the region, including more than a decade in Hong Kong.

In his new role, Mr Lee will lead Howden’s Hong Kong business, focussing on building on its strong momentum, deepening client relationships and driving continued growth in one of the region’s most important markets.

Mr Sham will relocate to Singapore to take on the role of Chief Strategy Officer, Asia. He has led the Hong Kong business for the past two years. Mr Sham will now take on a broader regional remit, and will focus on driving Howden’s growth ambitions through new initiatives, acquisitions and entry into new markets.
