The trend toward diversification of fixed-income investments among large and mid-size life insurers in Asia ex-Japan is picking up speed, according to a new report by Cerulli Associates, titled "Asian Insurance Industry: Rethinking Investment Strategies". Insurers are exploring alternative assets more, in their search for better returns amid a difficult investment environment.
