Australia:Private health premiums to rise by an average 6.18%

Private health insurance premiums in Australia are to rise by a weighted industry average of 6.18% from 1 April, Federal Health Minister Sussan Ley has announced. This increase is almost three times the rate of inflation, and will add about A$200 (US$156) a year to the cost of the average family policy.
