Japan:7 out of 8 big life insurers see profits fall in 1H FY16-17

Seven of eight major life insurers reported a year-on-year fall in profits from their core insurance businesses in April-September, affected by the Bank of Japan's negative interest rate policy and the appreciation of the yen against other currencies, according to their latest earnings reports.
