The Indian Premier League (IPL), the biggest sporting extravaganza in the country, has recorded the highest insurance cover being taken for an event. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has increased the event limit insurance to INR8.12 billion (US$157 million) which is said to be double the figure of the 2010 edition.
