As Monte Carlo ends, it is time to plan for the 14th Singapore International Reinsurance Convention (SIRC) billed as the Asian Monte Carlo where 750 delegates from 41 countries have registered. The event is well supported by the industry with 18 sponsors and some 125 private meeting rooms or tables booked.
To be held from 31 October to 2 November, with the theme, “New Partnerships in Reinsurance”, the conference will look at the business from different angles including the traditional relationships between cedants, reinsurance brokers, reinsurers, risk managers, regulators, as well as technologists, social media and the Internet of Things.
Aside from the formal opening ceremony, there will be two thought-provoking interactive high-level executive panels on “Reinsurance Responsibilities and Opportunities in the New World Disorder”, and the “Future of Reinsurance – A View from the Outside”.
The SIRC is the premier reinsurance event of the region, providing three days of high-level networking and business opportunities with some 1000 delegates from around the world expected.
The SIRC is organised by the Singapore Reinsurers’ Association (SRA), with the Reinsurance Brokers’ Association of Singapore (RBAS) and the Singapore College of Insurance (SCI) as co-organisers, and Asia Insurance Review as its official media partner.
