The Philippines is thought to be brimming with potential for the insurance business given its large and highly educated population. Yet insurance take-up rate has been low despite the country’s high vulnerability to risks of natural catastrophes, and capital requirement remains one of the lowest in the region. Still, the market has many good things going for it.
