With a large and educated population, the Philippines is viewed as brimming with potential for insurance business. Yet the insurance take-up rate has been low, and capital requirement remains one of the lowest in the region. Nonetheless, Deputy Insurance Commissioner Vida Chiong of the Insurance Commission shares with us some good news: crucial reforms are on the way.
