United Insurance Company of Vietnam (UIC), a joint venture with Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. was the only foreign affiliated non-life insurance company in Vietnam to receive an award from the Vietnam Ministry of Finance, for its great contributions to the development, improvement of operation and effectiveness of the Vietnam Insurance market from 1999 to 2009.
