News - Five Japanese Insurers Inject US$188 Mln into Revived Ashikaga Bank

Five Japanese life and general insurers will invest a combined ¥20 billion (US$188.1 million) into Ashikaga Bank whose rescue is being led by Nomura Holdings. The insurers include Nippon Life Insurance, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance, Nipponkoa Insurance, Sompo Japan Insurance and Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance.
