Impact on US health insurers smaller than expected

US health insurers are seeing a significant decline in claims for routine, elective and non-urgent visits and procedures since mid-March when state and federal agencies requested the deferral of elective surgeries and routine care to relieve pressure on the healthcare system, said AM Best.
