Vietnam Social Security (VSS) has digitised the process for accessing unemployment insurance, enhancing the country's digital infrastructure.
Based on the Law on Employment and relevant regulations, the digital procedure is implemented at both regional and district-level social security offices. It covers unemployment benefits, support for vocational training, and assistance for employee retention.
The process includes steps such as electronic submission of applications, creation of payment lists, document verification and, in certain cases, advance disbursement of funds.
Authorised entities, including Departments of Home Affairs, Employment Service Centres, vocational training institutions, and employers, can submit applications.
VSS has designated key departments to oversee the implementation of the digital system and instructed regional offices to ensure adherence to the new procedures.
