At an event, the Office of the Insurance Commission (OIC), Thailand's insurance regulator, revealed its year-end proactive approach to continue raising awareness of coverage in the country, collaborating with the insurance industry to offer a comprehensive range of services under the theme 'OIC Sustainable and Transparent Future - Sustainable, Flexible, Transparent and Integrated'.
According to the OIC, this initiative reflects good governance principles and the role of insurance as a crucial tool for sustainable risk management for both businesses and Thai households.
Mr Chuchat Pramulphon, Secretary-General of OIC, also emphasised that “financial resilience and sustainability can only be achieved through transparency, understanding and access to accurate information”.
Ms Wasumdee Wasinont, Deputy Secretary-General for Intermediary and Regional Insurance Supervision at the OIC, also noted that the final stretch of the year was a crucial time for people to review their life and property protection, as well as explore additional coverage options, particularly life insurance for tax deductions.
