Markel, the insurance operation within Markel Group, has expanded its warranty and indemnity (W&I) insurance capabilities into APAC, with two new underwriting appointments in Hong Kong and India.
Mr Siddick Khan has been appointed as Senior Underwriter, W&I.
Mr Khan will focus on underwriting transactional risks, with a focus on Singapore, Hong Kong and other key markets across APAC. He will also work closely with Markel Global Head of W&I Insurance Bryan Dressler, as well as the wider London team to ensure strong global alignment and technical consistency.
Prior to his new role, he worked with Aon Transaction Solutions and PwC.
In India, Markel has appointed Ms Shubhi Nigam as its first dedicated W&I underwriter. She will focus exclusively on the Indian market.
Ms Nigam joins with extensive M&A and corporate legal experience gained at firms including Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., AZB & Partners, Trilegal and Bharucha & Partners.
