Markel Insurance, the insurance operations within Markel Group, has opened a new office in Perth and marked the event with the appointments of two Senior Underwriters, Mr Jerome Steyn and Mr Pierre Dagnee.
Both bring experience in building market presence across all professional and financial risks (PFR) product classes and additional expertise in the mining and resources sector.
In the statement, Markel Head of Professional and Financial Risks Kym Beazleigh also called Mr Steyn and Mr Dagnee “highly capable insurance professionals”.
Mr Beazleigh also noted that their experience in PFR, combined with deep mining and resources expertise, strengthens the firm’s ability to support brokers and clients in Western Australia
