Markel Insurance, the insurance operations within Markel Group, has appointed Mr Henry Ang as Head of Terrorism, Singapore.
In his new role, Mr Ang is responsible for driving the profitable growth and development of Markel’s political violence and terrorism (PVT) portfolio in APAC, alongside Mr Rahul Shah, Head of War and Terrorism in MENA, and Mr Rahul Gaglani, War and Terrorism Underwriter in India.
According to Ms Wanshi Lin, Head of Singapore, Mr Ang’s property underwriting experience and non-Lloyd’s background gives Markel an advantage, as they can now leverage the Lloyd’s network and his unique capabilities while bringing fresh perspective and approach.
Mr Ang brings more than a decade of underwriting experience, specialising in PVT across APAC, complemented by property underwriting expertise, with strong capabilities in assessing complex exposures and managing large portfolios for multinational clients and cedants. He joined Markel from Everest.
