Agile Insurance Group has announced the promotions of Mr David Hughes to the role of Active Underwriter and Mr Mark Hunt to the role of Group Chief Underwriting Officer.
In his new role, Mr Hughes will continue to represent the syndicate across all classes in the London market. He has enjoyed a 27-year career as a Lloyd’s marine underwriter in the London market along with short periods establishing local syndicate operations in Hong Kong and Singapore. Most recently, he was Deputy Active Underwriter for Agile.
In his new role, Mr Hunt takes oversight of all underwriting activity including the syndicate, service companies, and MGA operations across Australia, London and New Zealand. He Hunt has more than four decades of underwriting experience, having worked in in Lloyd’s for more than 27 years. He also spent 15 years underwriting in Australia. Most recently, he was Active Underwriter for Agile.
To support Mr Hughes and Mr Hunt, Mr Michael Dalton, current Group Head of Aviation, will take on the additional role of Underwriting (Australia).
In his new role, Mr Dalton will help manage and support the underwriting teams in Australia. He has a 32-year history in aviation underwriting and class-of-business management in Australia and New Zealand.
