Local financial sector players fret over the wrong aspect of foreign competition

Chinese financial institutions should not worry about the opening up of the financial sector to foreign competition; rather they should be concerned about which foreign institution is entering the Chinese market, according to Mr Cai Esheng, chairman of the Hong Kong based non profit organisation Finance Centre for South-South Cooperation and a former vice chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission.
