Public sector general insurers - particularly the country's largest general insurer, New India Assurance - reduced their exposure to the national flagship crop insurance scheme, the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), in the first four months of the current financial year ending 31 March 2022 (FY2022).
