Coverage of agricultural insurance is expanding in Azerbaijan, and its minister noted that progress has been made.
According to news platform Report News Agency, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Seymur Safarli said at a regional meeting: “Expanding insurance coverage is one of the key objectives of the State Programme. Plans are in place to increase the number of insured crops and introduce new support instruments.”
An article by Trend News Agency stated that the Agricultural Insurance Fund of Azerbaijan has paid out AZN23m ($13.53m) as of May 2026 to thousands of farmers and farm owners so far.
News platform abc.az reported that AZN5.2m was paid out to farmers and farm owners in 2025.
