MSIG Hong Kong has appointed Mr Billy Wong as CUO, effective 2 September 2026.
In his new role, Mr Wong will lead MSIG Hong Kong’s underwriting department and specialty lines to further strengthen underwriting capabilities, enhance portfolio performance and deliver even greater value to our customers and business partners, according to a LinkedIn post.
Mr Wong brings nearly two decades of insurance expertise across retail and commercial lines, with extensive experience in underwriting, portfolio management, pricing, reinsurance and product development.
His LinkedIn profile notes that he began his career in 2008 with AXA as an Executive Assistant for Commercial Lines Underwriting. He also worked with Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty and Zurich Insurance, before returning to AXA in 2018 as Head of Property Underwriting, Greater China, under AXA XL.
He was most recently CUO of General Insurance for AXA Hong Kong and Macau, having been appointed to the role in 2023.
