4th Asia Cyber Risk Summit
Theme: “A Cyber Dare: Can Business Be Cyber Resilient?”

Cyber is ranked the top risk of the day with digital usage rising and almost everyone owning a smart ‘phone. With risk assessed related to cyber crime to hit $6tn by 2021, the arms race in cyber security is becoming more intense than ever. The greatest challenge organisations and governments are facing today is keeping up with the ever-evolving cyber risk landscape. Hacking techniques are getting more aggressive. Whether it is hacking tools from open source, malware, ransomware, machine intelligence coordinating cyber hacks or advanced data analytics that can launch large-scale attacks, the fight is inevitably AI vs AI. 

13th Asian Insurance CFO Summit 2019
27–29 May, Singapore
The risk landscape is changing in the insurance world and it’s either evolve or dissolve. As CFOs scramble to come up to speed with the new revolution of digital, innovation and the millennial era, it is a survival game to keep on top of this new normal. New insurance accounting standards are also on the horizon, with IFRS17 set to change the way the sector is administered. This summit will look at how the CFO risk agenda is changing and what CFOs can do to equip themselves in the future.

Insurance Investment Summit
Theme: “Maximising Investment Returns During Quantitative Tightening”

After a decade of low interest rates and loose money supply, asset managers within Asia’s insurance businesses now have become used to asset bubbles and bumpy equity markets that are being rattled by unpredictable oil prices and the continuing prospect of a US-China trade war. Asia Women Leadership Summit

17th Asia Pacific Life Insurance Congress

Singapore International Reinsurance Conference (SIRC)
Theme: Winds of change
29 October–1 November, Singapore
SIRC has established itself as one of the most important events on the Asian reinsurance calendar where leading insurers, brokers and reinsurers gather to take stock of the reinsurance market and set the tone for the renewal season while exploring new opportunities for business cooperation. The conference will address pressing industry issues such as the increasing frequency of extreme weather events caused by climate change, industry disruption and digital transformation, and the sustainability of the insurance/reinsurance business model as operating margins narrow. 

26th ICLAM (International Committee for Insurance Medicine) Congress
10–13 November, Mumbai, India
The ICLAM congress was last held in Asia in Tokyo in 1986 and returns to the continent after a gap of 32 years. The event has since 1935 been the international benchmark for scientific training, interactive discussion and networking on topics related to risk underwriting and more recently in claims assessment. It is well respected for the high quality of its faculty and presentations.
