The Association of Healthcare Providers of India (AHPI) and Star Health and Allied Insurance have announced that cashless services will be restored at all AHPI member hospitals starting October 10, 2025.
The move reverses AHPI’s earlier advisory to suspend cashless services from September 22 and comes after intensive negotiations between the two organizations.
In a joint statement from New Delhi and Chennai on September 21, both parties said they had reached an agreement to prioritise patient welfare and ensure uninterrupted access to healthcare.
Alongside the resumption of cashless services, AHPI and Star Health have committed to settling all outstanding matters, including tariff adjustments, by October 31.
To minimise the risk of future service disruptions, AHPI will help create an industry consortium of healthcare providers and leading insurers to develop a long-term framework for sector-wide agreements.
