News - Singapore: Sompo Japan acquires mid-sized local insurer

Sompo Japan Insurance has announced that it will acquire Singapore’s Tenet Insurance for S$95 million (US$68 million) and will take full control of the local non-life insurer. The Japanese insurer will buy 100% of the issued ordinary and preferred shares of Tenet, with the deal scheduled to be completed by the end of June.
