Markel has appointed Ms Charlotte Major as Senior Claims Adjuster for Professional Indemnity (PI).
In her new role, Ms Major will be responsible for resolving complex PI claims for clients operating across multiple professions, including accountants, construction firms and insurance brokers. She will work closely with Markel’s PI underwriting team on renewal business, advising on claims scenarios, contract wordings, policy wordings and claims data, ensuring clients receive tailored and best-in-class coverage.
Ms Major will also collaborate with managing agents and service providers across various jurisdictions to make sure PI claims are settled efficiently from inception to resolution.
In addition to these responsibilities, she will develop and mentor claims handlers in her team and strengthen broker relationships to deliver a more focussed, value-added claims service.
Ms Major possesses more than 15 years’ experience working in litigation and pre-litigation roles, with a focus on motor, employers’ liability, public liability and PI claims. Prior to her new role, she was a PI claims adjuster for Collegiate Management Services.
