Generali has appointed Mr Sun Lei as Deputy Regional Officer, Asia. In his new role, he will provide strategic and operational oversight for all China-based Generali entities, strengthen governance with joint venture partners and stakeholders, as well as lead regional project initiatives across Asia.
Mr Sun will also play a key role in advancing Generali’s sustainability agenda in alignment with the Group’s global priorities.
He brings more than two decades of leadership experience in insurance, finance and M&A across Asia and Europe. Prior to his new role, he worked with Allianz China Insurance Holding and Allianz SE. He also previously served as President and CEO of Allianz Korea Life.
Mr Sun is a Fellow of the UK Institute of Actuaries and a CFA charter holder. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Nanyang Technological University and an Executive MBA from the Tsinghua–INSEAD joint programme.
