Manulife Singapore has created a Guinness record by underwriting and issuing a single $300m life insurance policy to a client in Singapore.
The landmark transaction in the high-net-worth (HNW) insurance space has broken the previous Guinness record of $250m set by HSBC Life in Hong Kong in 2024.
The transaction reflects a broader shift in how Singapore's HNW families are approaching wealth. Over the past 12 months alone,
Manulife Singapore has issued 25 individual policies each valued at more than US$50m, pointing to continued demand for such solutions.
Singapore’s political and economic stability, coupled with its robust regulatory regime, continues to position the city-state as a key destination for HNW wealth management. As fortunes become increasingly multi-generational and cross-border in nature, there is stronger appetite for well-structured, long-term solutions that go beyond traditional protection, spanning succession planning, wealth preservation and structured intergenerational transfer.
