Munich Re has appointed Ms Chotima Puasiri as Chief Representative Munich Re Thailand, effective 1 March.
Ms Chotima has more than a decade of experience in the Thai non-life insurance and reinsurance sectors. Her expertise spans underwriting strategy, reinsurance governance, claims oversight, operational transformation and product management. She is actively involved in the Thai General Insurance Association and leads several InsurTech initiatives.
She joins from ERGO Insurance (Thailand), where she is Executive Vice President, Product Management and Executive Vice President, Underwriting Strategy. Before working at ERGO, she held various positions at Nam Seng Insurance Public Company.
Ms Chotima holds a PhD in Business Administration from Ramkhamhaeng University, Thailand. Since 2015, she has been lecturing at King Mongkut's University of Technology and will continue to do so in addition to her role at Munich Re.
Mr Luciën Heijstee, who has been Chief Representative Munich Re Thailand for the past seven years, will work alongside Ms Chotima for a handover period before retiring.
