Singapore:Gov't board launches Political Risk Insurance Scheme for domestic firms venturing overseas

International Enterprise Singapore (IE Singapore), a statutory board under the government that facilitates the overseas growth of Singapore-based companies, has launched a new scheme to help businesses protect their investments from external political risks. The Political Risk Insurance Scheme (PRIS) is aimed at supporting up to S$2 billion (US$1.63 billion) worth of overseas investments over the next three years.
